1. Stripe provides payment services
Clinched uses Stripe and Stripe Connect to process buyer payments, onboard sellers, verify identity where required, and send seller payouts. Stripe’s services are governed by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, Stripe Services Agreement, and Stripe Privacy Policy in addition to Clinched policies.
2. Information shared with Stripe
To provide payment services, Clinched and Stripe may exchange account identifiers, identity and business details, tax information, bank or card details, transaction records, risk signals, disputes, refunds, and payout status. Stripe may collect information directly through Stripe-hosted or embedded interfaces.
3. Seller authorization
By connecting a payout account, a seller authorizes Clinched to create and manage payment-related activity on the connected account as needed for marketplace transactions, including charges, application fees, transfers, payout adjustments, refunds, dispute responses, and transfer reversals, subject to law and the applicable agreements.
4. Holds, reserves, and payout timing
Payout availability depends on fulfillment and settlement, Stripe’s processing schedule, identity and compliance checks, risk review, reserves, disputes, refunds, bank availability, and other factors. Clinched may delay a payout while a transaction is under review. Stripe may independently restrict or suspend payment services under its terms.
5. Fees, negative balances, and taxes
Applicable marketplace and payment fees are disclosed in the seller experience. Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, reversals, penalties, and related costs may reduce pending or future payouts. Sellers are responsible for accurate tax information and their own tax obligations; Stripe or Clinched may issue required tax forms.
6. Support
Contact payments@clinched.com for a Clinched transaction or payout question. Stripe may need to handle questions about identity verification, bank eligibility, or restrictions it imposes directly.
