THE IMPORTANT STUFF

Fees, Refunds & Disputes

When charges apply, when money comes back, and how we resolve problems.

These policies are written to be clear and practical. If a policy conflicts with a right you cannot waive under applicable law, that law controls.

1. Transparent pricing

Before confirmation, checkout displays the contract price, quantity, marketplace fees, and applicable taxes. Seller fees are shown before a listing is submitted or in the seller payout summary. We do not change a confirmed transaction price except for authorized refunds, corrections, or legally required taxes.

2. When a purchase is refundable

  • Clinched or the seller cancels before settlement.
  • A qualifying contract cannot be fulfilled and no acceptable replacement is provided.
  • The event is canceled and not rescheduled, unless the listing clearly provides a different lawful treatment.
  • The buyer was charged incorrectly or more than once.
  • A refund is required by applicable law.

3. When a purchase is not refundable

  • The selected team or outcome does not qualify under the contract.
  • The buyer changes their mind, no longer wants to attend, or cannot use valid delivered tickets.
  • The buyer misses a delivery notice, provides incorrect information, or violates venue or issuer rules.
  • The event is postponed or rescheduled and the tickets remain valid, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

4. Event changes and partial remedies

For postponed, relocated, materially changed, or partially fulfilled events, we review the event organizer’s policy, ticket validity, contract language, and applicable law. A remedy may be delayed until the organizer makes a final determination and may include continued validity, replacement inventory, account credit where accepted, or a partial or full refund.

5. Dispute process

Contact support@clinched.com within 7 days after the issue occurs or, for ticket delivery, no later than 24 hours after the event begins when reasonably possible. Include the order, a clear description, and supporting records. We may request information from both parties and payment or ticket providers.

We aim to provide an initial response within 5 business days. Complex reviews may take longer. Our decision under marketplace policy does not limit legal rights that cannot be waived.

6. Refund timing and chargebacks

Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Banks and card networks control posting time. Filing a chargeback does not create an additional right to a refund and may pause our review while the payment provider investigates. Fraudulent or abusive disputes may lead to account restrictions.
