1. Information we collect
- Account data, such as your name, email address, profile details, and authentication identifiers.
- Transaction data, including listings, purchases, contract terms, seat references, fulfillment status, refunds, disputes, and payout status.
- Payment and identity-verification data handled by Stripe. Clinched generally receives tokens, account status, and limited transaction details rather than complete card or bank credentials.
- Ticket-verification communications sent to a Clinched-controlled inbox, including sender, recipient, message content, headers, and ticket or event details needed to verify ownership.
- Device, log, cookie, and usage data used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
2. How we use information
- Provide accounts, listings, checkout, verification, settlement, support, and payouts.
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, enforce agreements, and protect the marketplace.
- Comply with financial, tax, legal, and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor reliability, troubleshoot errors, and improve product performance.
- Send service messages and, where permitted, product communications you can opt out of.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed with service providers such as Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments and connected accounts, Resend for email processing, hosting and database providers, analytics or security vendors, and professional advisers. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or complete a corporate transaction.
Buyers and sellers receive the limited information necessary to complete and support a transaction. We do not sell personal information for money.
4. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including transaction records required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute obligations. Ticket-verification email content is retained only while needed for verification, support, fraud review, or a legal hold, then deleted or de-identified under our retention practices.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; or appeal a privacy decision. You may also manage cookies through your browser and unsubscribe from non-service email.
Submit a request to privacy@clinched.com. We may verify your identity before acting and may retain information where required by law or necessary for active transactions, fraud prevention, or legal claims.
6. Children, transfers, and updates
Clinched is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.
We may update this Policy and will post the new date here. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@clinched.com.
