THE IMPORTANT STUFF

Buyer Agreement

What buyers can expect and what they agree to when purchasing a contract.

Last updated August 11, 2026

These policies are written to be clear and practical. If a policy conflicts with a right you cannot waive under applicable law, that law controls.

1. Know what you are buying

You are buying a conditional right to the ticket inventory described in the listing if the named team or outcome satisfies the listed settlement condition. You are not buying a guaranteed ticket unless and until that condition is satisfied and fulfillment is confirmed.

Review the event, team or outcome, section, row, seat information, quantity, price, fees, and settlement language before paying. Your order is binding once payment is confirmed.

2. Payment and authorization

You authorize Clinched and Stripe to charge the displayed order total and to make adjustments permitted by our refund and dispute rules. Taxes may be added where required. Do not initiate a chargeback before giving Clinched a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

3. Qualification and delivery

If the selected outcome qualifies, you must provide accurate delivery details, respond to reasonable verification requests, and accept the ticket transfer promptly. Ticket issuer or venue terms may also apply.

If the selected outcome does not qualify, the contract settles without ticket delivery and the amount paid is not refundable unless the listing or our Fees, Refunds & Disputes Policy expressly says otherwise.

4. Event changes and buyer conduct

  • Follow venue, league, event, and ticket-issuer rules.
  • Do not resell or use tickets unlawfully or in violation of applicable transfer restrictions.
  • Report delivery problems promptly and preserve relevant communications.
  • Event postponement, cancellation, relocation, or material change is handled under the posted refund and dispute rules.

5. Buyer remedy

If a qualifying contract is not fulfilled as promised, Clinched may require evidence and, after review, provide replacement inventory, a full or partial refund, or another remedy described in the Fees, Refunds & Disputes Policy. This is your marketplace remedy for seller non-fulfillment, subject to rights that cannot be waived by law.
